Sashir Milne

I am a Senior Human Resources Executive passionate about serving my stakeholders through impactful people strategies that harness an organisation’s human capital potential to deliver sustainable results. My life purpose is working with talent and leaders to achieve their potential and co-creating high-performing teams and organisations.

My experience spans the Human Capital function, and I have worked in Senior Generalist roles, Learning and Development, Talent Management and within various Capability and Transformation projects. During my corporate and consulting time, I have worked in Global, Regional and local South African organisations across multiple sectors. I have occupied various Non-Executive Director roles and presently serve as the chairman of a Remuneration committee.

I am the Chief People Officer of Tongaat Hulett Limited, working with my executive team and, more recently, the Business Rescue Practitioners to create a sustainable organisation which will help us to save 26 000 jobs in our organisation and the communities in which we operate in KwaZulu Natal, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Botswana.

I am the wife of an entrepreneur and mother to two boys aged 21 and 8. Together we enjoy exploring and spending time in nature, braaiing and cooking, playing paddle and watching sport. Outside of this, I “fill my cup” by gardening, rebounding, practising yoga and reading
